The Lombardi Lab at
The University of Nevada, Reno
Translational research connects laboratory discoveries with clinical care, helping turn scientific findings into better ways to understand, diagnose, and treat disease. Dr. Vincent Lombardi's program highlights emerging research in ME/CFS, from discoveries in the laboratory to clinical research and potential new approaches to patient care.
UNR's Lombardi Lab advances research into the biological mechanisms underlying ME/CFS, including the role of the immune system, mucosal health, and the gut–brain connection. The Lab also supports the next generation of ME/CFS scientists by providing research opportunities, mentorship, funding, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
By investing in both scientific discovery and young researchers, we aim to accelerate progress toward improved diagnostics, treatments, and ultimately better outcomes for people living with ME/CFS.
