MedME

“The awe of discovering the human body. The honor of being trusted to give advice. The gratitude for helping someone through a difficult illness. These things never grow old.”

~ Danielle Ofri, MD via The New York Times

The MedME program at WPI supports expert care and medical education to benefit those suffering from infection-associated chronic illnesses such as ME, Long COVID, and chronic tick-borne diseases.

WPI maintains the Clinic at WPI, a state-of-the-art medical clinic, which, for over a decade, provided space, medical equipment, and funding to CTM Associates, led by expert physician Dr. Kenny De Meirleir.  In July 2023 Dr. De Meirleir announced his retirement from his Reno practice, however, he has remained WPI’s Medical Director.  As Medical Director Dr. De Meirleir will contribute to the MedME program by providing education for medical providers and students through lectures, seminars, and written materials.

Meanwhile, WPI is working diligently to bring a new medical practice to the clinic. Our priorities remain the same, to facilitate expert patient care,  and to provide useful information and the  encouragement patients need to live a fulfilling life with a chronic illness.   Please sign up for our newsletter, follow us on social media, or keep an eye on our website for updates.
